Holly Stevenson, Ph.D., has served as the director of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) for Optimae LifeServices since 2021. Overseeing the intentional and continual cultivation of a culture of inclusion and belonging across the company where everyone feels valued and able to be their unique selves, Holly deeply cares about being a voice for the silenced and believes that DEIB efforts allow us to best serve our customers and communities, while also empowering our colleagues and enabling our company to thrive.
Holly received her doctorate in philosophy from the University of Iowa in 2021, focusing on issues including intersectionality and marginalization. She also has a graduate certificate in gender, women and sexuality studies and several graduate teaching certifications from her time at the University of Iowa. Originally from Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom, Holly also has an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Glasgow. Passionate about community involvement, Holly serves on the board of directors for Lavender Legal and East Central Iowa Workforce Development. She also serves as the co-chair for Inclusive Iowa.
