Cokie Ikerd serves as the regional director for Optimae’s Old Capitol Region, bringing more than 30 years of experience to the position.
In her current role, Cokie oversees all programming and services for those with mental illness and intellectual disabilities in Johnson and surrounding counties. Prior to joining Optimae in 2008, Cokie worked at MYEP for 17 years serving in various roles, including executive director, assistant director and program coordinator.
Cokie earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa.
