Dec. 12, 2019 (Marshalltown) – Optimae LifeServices announced today it is expanding into Marshalltown. The company, which provides services to individuals related to their emotional, physical and mental health needs, has acquired the former Plaza Family Dental Center office at 101 East Southridge Road.
In addition to opening the new Marshall County office location, Optimae will establish site homes for individuals with mental illness and intellectual disabilities, as well as offer services to individuals in their own homes.
“Optimae is partnering with Pastor Gregg Davison from Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church to establish our site homes so that we can further meet the needs of Marshalltown residents,” said Meghan Foster, director of Optimae’s central Iowa region. “Pastor Gregg and other Trinity members tell us how pleased they are to be working with us — they applaud our enthusiasm and interest in becoming an integral part of the Marshalltown community. We’re grateful for their support in this endeavor.”
Anna Hargrave will lead the Optimae program. A graduate of Marshalltown High School and the University of Northern Iowa, Hargrave is well-versed in providing community and mental health services. Her experiences include starting up a transitional living center for mentally ill clients, facilitating early intervention programs for Marshalltown schoolchildren and coordinating care for families receiving services from the Department of Human Services.
“I am honored to be a part of a team that will provide support to individuals in the community who have a need in different aspects of their life,” Hargrave said. “It is very exciting to be a part of a large company that provides a variety of human services in many counties across Iowa.”
As Hargrave builds her team, she’s looking for individuals with a passion for supporting people with a mental health diagnosis or intellectual disability. Optimae will host open interviews for direct support professional (DSP) positions Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1011 South 3rd Ave. in Marshalltown.
