Maria Brickner joined Optimae’s southeastern Iowa Behavioral Health team in 2023. She has more than 15 years of experience in the nursing field, providing efficient nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions across various health care settings.
Before joining Optimae, Maria’s most recent experience spanned various specialty areas of primary care, cognitive evaluation, collaborative behavioral health, mental health and outpatient psychiatric triage continuum. Prior to that, she worked in both postpartum and medical-surgical settings, largely in Texas.
Maria is interested in providing care for all ages, including children and geriatric patients, and is bilingual in Spanish. She holds a BSN from University of Texas–Pan American and a master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from Walden University.
