Bonnie McHugh serves as the director of knowledge acquisition and transfer at Optimae LifeServices. With nearly two decades of experience in the field of health and human services, Bonnie is dedicated to fostering education and training within the organization. She recognizes that education is a vital component of a well-functioning workforce, ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional, person-centered care.

Throughout her career at Optimae, Bonnie has held several positions, including regional knowledge acquisition and transfer specialist, intake director, intake coordinator, service coordinator, team lead and direct support professional.  She is a certified instructor in nonviolent crisis prevention and intervention, restorative practices and applied suicide intervention skills training and is a master trainer in C3 De-Escalation.

Bonnie also champions advocacy, chairing the Polk County Positive Behavior Support Network Academy, where she previously served as board president.
