Kent Davis serves as the director of Marketing Communications for Optimae, bringing three decades of experience in communications theory and practice to the position.
In his role, Kent provides his colleagues with guidance related to the strategies and tactics to employ when communicating with Optimae’s current and future employees, stakeholders and community partners. Kent joined Optimae in 2018 as a communications coordinator and served as a communications manager before moving into his current position in 2019.
Prior to joining Optimae, Kent served in secondary and post-secondary education as well as the media industry. A native Iowan, he was raised on a farm and first became aware of the mental health needs specific to farm families through the state’s Farm Crisis.
Kent is a past board member of the Iowa Communication Association, and his work has been recognized with platinum, gold and honorable-mention MarCom awards by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
Kent earned an associate’s degree from Waldorf College and a bachelor’s degree in English (with an education emphasis) from Luther College. He completed post-bachelor’s coursework in journalism at the University of Iowa. He is licensed by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners in English and Speech Communication.
