Carol Adolphson brings more than 30 years of experience in human services to her role as a mental health therapist at Optimae Behavioral Health Services in southeastern Iowa, serving as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC).

Carol’s expertise includes working with domestic violence, substance abuse, senior clients, depression, grief and LGBTQ issues. She often uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in her practice. Carol provides therapy that is solution-focused and person-centered and believes in meeting people where they are and empowering them to reach their goals.

Prior to joining Optimae, Carol served various communities in southeastern Iowa as a mental health therapist, direct service provider, hospice volunteer, job coach, residential substance abuse counselor and in-home family-centered service provider.

Carol earned her master’s degree in mental health from Capella University in Minneapolis.

Currently, Carol serves customers from Optimae Behavioral Health’s Burlington office.
